Patents won't stop anybody from copying it. I will assure you though, their work is more than cut out for them. There are over 50 custom designed pieces that took anywhere from days to months to perfect and not just making the part but also the jig so we could replicate it.

As far as our intercooler choice is concerned, we have covered this issue many times. Most notably in the link below:

Well it looks nice guys FINALLY LOL! But I do have a question as to the manifolds. I thought you guys were going with cast manifolds? I have a REAL question as to how long those will hold up to serious power?? Had another co. custom kit and had some issues with them cracking after pushing the kit hard for a couple of nights etc... I know you said that you would warranty them for ever, but that also means the person is going to have to pull them off and send them to you etc... Just a few questions that I would like to hear you elaborate on how you might deal with these potiential issues. Again the kit looks very very good! Thanks for your time.

To inspector:
It shouldn't be an issue we used very thick runners, they are schedule 40 weld L's it shouldn't crack very easily at all.

To Chad:
We will have installed pics this weekend, we are installing it on the first customers car Saturday.

Very true, but if someone tries to copy and sell it. Just looking out. One heck of a nice system there. Congrats.

As nice as it may look, $10,000 for a log manifold turbo kit is ridiculous. This was asked but not answered, what turbos and wastegates do you get with this?

If you think it's ridiculous then don't buy it. No one is twisting your arm.

The kit comes with Turbonetics turbos of your choice and tial wastegates.

Amazing craftsmanship. That is the cleanest kit I have seen. The way the intake is part of the K-member is Completely out of the box thinking. Price is a big thing but with all the R&D put into this thing, it seems reasonable. Anyway you guys are going to make an Air to Air intercooler for this kit......Possible bring down the price for it? Or will you sell the kit without the A2W?

Overall packaging on the kit looks great, and many innovative ideas. I have a few concerns though. First being the log manifolds with larger turbos making more power, but only time will tell on that.

2nd is that the heat exchanger for the A/W setup that lays flat to the ground between the k member and a/w intercooler? If so the in/ out look much much to small for the water lines, but i cant tell really. What size are the water lines? and how many gallons of water does the tank hold? And what water pump is used? Personally A/W setups are not ideal for many street driven cars because once they get hot, they stay hot.

Overall though not a bad price for everything considering, congrats on finally getting it done guys.

So, 03 Cobras, Gt500's, many Jaguars, Ford GT's, Mercedes, and many other stock cars are doing it wrong?

How many cars come from the factory with A/W's compared to A/A's?

I totally understand where your coming from, there are many factory a/w set ups out there, including the veyron. But those are not cars that are pushing the kind of hp this turbo kit will make(other than veyron but we will leave that out for obvious reasons). There is a huge difference in 500 hp and 1000 hp.

I have done several street driven cars with a/w setups and many with a/a and hands down the a/a are better overall for street driven cars from my experience. a/a may heat up when idling but your not in boost or needing low iats then, as soon as you start moving and getting on it, iat's will pretty much instantly drop where they need to be.

All of my A/W set ups have been large pt-2400 or pt-3000 coolers with close to 10 gallons and minimum rule 3700/4000 pumps with at least 3/4" hose, with large dedicated 12x12x2 all alum heat exchangers/ spal fans. So they are using very high quality parts.

Only reason i asked is the exchanger looks like a trans cooler with 3/8" tubes. which would be so much of a restriction even a small pump wouldnt be efficient.

I am not in any way saying a a/w is a bad choice as i have done many a/w setups and mainly because of packaging and some cars cant have the airflow needed for a a/a. Most every c5 vette i have done has been a/w because of packaging issues of a a/a. I just thought their a/w setup might be insufficient in some areas and thought i would add my experience.

Seriously though, good job again on packing all of this, thats a serious feat to make it production and not just one off custom set ups per application.
