Car Wont Rev Past 6000
Looking for some of you more experienced guys advice on whats going on here.
Rundown of the combo is
6.0 stock cube/afr 205's/ls6 intake
224/228 cam 10.6:1
C16
Neal Chance Driven Glide
Truck manifold turbo kit all 2.5 inch
Fi98x turbo
dumped 5 inch dp
stock computer/coils
80lb injectors
tripple walbros in stock tank -10 feed 2 on hobs switch
At 4 pounds we can go all the way to 7k
10 pounds wont go past 5800-6000
15 pounds same as 10
copied from Louis
I dynoed an FI98x like Fireball had, today, and it had roughly 1.2:1 P/R at 17 psi. This was a 366, 224/228, C16, 20* advance, 10.6:1 Compression, AFR 205s, LS6 intake, thru chance driven glide. 21 psi back pressure, 16.7 psi boost. It is 1:1 at 12 psi. I can imagine Fireball was 2:1, or more, at 30+ psi, but there are a lot of things to take into consideration too- Cam, heads, intake, RPM. All play a role on that pressure ratio.
It barely makes 4 psi at 4k, under load, itll make 8 psi at 4700 under load, if you can imagine that curve.
It made roughly 750 rwhp thru the glide at that level, but shutting down at 5800, just when it starts to sing. 500 more RPM, it would have picked up another 100 hp. I have no clue where it would have gone, If I could have spun it to 8500.
things weve checked and done
plug gap was changed with new plugs from .028 to .022 and new wires
didnt fix the issue
change my old Patriot dual golds out to some Brand new shimmed comp 921's
still same issue...
A/f is solid and it doesnt missfire when it gets to 6k it just sticks there, we stayed in it for 1.5 seconds at 6k and it wont pull through.
Any input is welcome.
