Default New intercooler

This was a collabroation between myself and Gerhard / Bell Intercoolers.

I designed it on SolidWorks, ran flow simulations, fabricated the parts, and sent over to Bell to have them assemble / weld / pressure test.

I appreciate Gerhards time and flexibility with my needs! Great guys to work with.

This is a direct bolt in place of my pt-900, it turned out pretty perfect and I cant wait to stuff more boost! This we would rate in the 1500 range.

Pretty nice. I cant quite make it out... are those ABS plastic elbows you're using for the water? If so, just the slight weight of that hose hanging on it with road vibrations can cause them to crack where the threads are. Could lead to a potential disaster.
I fix them all the time on chillers that I work on... I replace them with brass or aluminum ones.

Glad to see you decided to have Bell do the fab work. Nice piece indeed.

Good job! I like the placement of it as well, out of sight and out of the way from everything.

I would like to see an air to water heat exchanger that was similar to the procharger air box that mounts to the F-body radiator core support.

For a custom job, why not use laminova cores?

yes they are plastic fittings, fresh versions of the 4 year old ones i took off the pt900 core that never gave me a drop of trouble or water. i did used to have them both draped over the charge pipe, but after re-cutting the hose i came up a little short this time around. i'll do a zip tie on er ***, thanks for the heads up!

its 3/4 hose because thats what has been on the car, 1" npt threads on the core in case i need to step it up later.

this is the same place as the original tti race kit puts the intercooler, nothing new here, 2003 stuff lol

the old core was 9x10x4.5 with no dividers
this core is 9x10x6.9 with a diviter on the in and on the out

ive never heard of laminova cores?

i had a single pt900 before, see second set of pics.

thanks, after being on a driveway for the first 2 cars, having the garage space has been like eating cake, and its my pride and joy aside from the car

here's an outside shot next to the new daily

ive got 1200 tied up in the work that bell did with me supplying everything but the cores and the labor.
