my kytp turbo build
Well this is something that is long over do. I promised Josh from KYPT that I would post pics but alot of **** came up after the build then it got pushed to the side. Here is alittle bit of info about my car, its a 200 SS with 49,000 miles. I have had it since 2001 with 6,600 miles on it. I have done all the free modes cut out cat delet and LS6 manifold and it made 342 hp to the wheels with the factory flat Y pipe. The car has always felt pretty strong. With this stuff done it ran a best of 12.96 @109.15 mph with a 2.056 60ft time launching it pretty easy to the 10 bolt happ.
This car has been so much fun, but I thought it was time for alittle more power so I contacted Josh at KYPT to build a front mount that would keep the AC and not hack the car up to much. The AC did work after the build but we tried something shady on one of the AC lines and the the freon leaked out. ( We had to lengthen the top line). Aslo my buddie made a drop braket for the AC condensor and radiator. So it would fit under the top core support.
I would like to mention that this kit fit together like a puzzle just like Josh said it would.. Man does he do AWESOME work!! Thanks again Josh at KYPT.
Parts list
KYPT tc 78 header forward turbo kit
Moster stage 3 clutch with tick master cylender
Ractronics fuel pump and 60 lbs injectors
LS6 valve springs
Afco Radiator 80133n universal double pass
2 - 12 inche puller fans that flow 1550 each also purched from Afco. I think they are Merydynes.
Just want to say a special THANKS to Josh at KYPT, Jermey Fermado at Faster Proms for sorting my car out, Chris Emilio, Steven Bazuk, John Hardesty, Ryan Richmand, Eddie Price, and Joey Richards for all your help. Also to John at Car Craft Magazine for the nice article on my car.
My future plans for my car this year are to put a boost cam, kenny bell boost a pump and push it to 9psi. Also going to try to put the stock radiator and fans in and cut the top core support. Many say it will cool better as it wants to run hot with AC on.
2012 Plans BIGGER fuel system BUILT LS2, 12 bolt driveshaft and shoot for 700 plus to the wheel on pump gas..

Awesome build. I got a couple questions on your drivers side header. Was talking to Josh about this yesterday a bit and I'd like to hear how you handled the ABS and fuel lines because that header comes damn close to them. For fuel we are going to cut the fuel hardline where it bends upward and run braided line to the fuel rails we have going in. Still up in the air on what to do with those 4 brake lines that go to the ABS unit. Would like to hear how you guys went about it.

My buddy cut and modified the mount 3 different times to get it to work. Also he bought a 500 dollar flaring tool to make any kind of factory flare feom snap on it works slick also we cut the factory fuel line flared it and got Russell an fitting adapters

I couldn't tell from the pics, but does your charge pipe come up where the battery was located or where the fuses were? Did you consider doing an ABS delete? I'm leaning toward a delete myself, but would like to hear your reasonin

Charge pipe comes up through where the fuses are. I kept my abs because I plan on autocrossing and road racing this car plus don't want to completely And totally hack the guts out of a 50,000 mile SS . This car also hauls my family around.
