propane injection

do any of you run propane insted of alky. i saw on turbo buick.com alot of peolpe run alky and was wondering if any one on here had good results with it. i plan on going FI in the future just not sure what injection i should use and if it's a s/c or turbo.

i know but i havent heard of anyone running a FI ls1 with propane

there are some people using it over on the turbo buick forums
and a few stealths and 3000gt's
i think one guy here had a kit, but sold it or isnt using it.

The only hang-up I can see is that big ole tank of compressed flammable gas. At least with alky it's no worse than windshield washer fluid...

I have a propane setup on my Incon car, although I haven't spent a lot of time tuning with it. I have it setup on a Hobbs switch and it comes on at ~4.5psi.

With a relatively small N2O jet the A/F (measured by an in-car wideband) dropped a full point from the point where the propane started spraying.

I plan on doing some additional testing with this when the new motor and trans are in the car and will post the results. Anybody want to guess now how much boost I will be able to run on 91 octane with the propane kit on an 8.5:1 404ci motor

With an 8.5:1 motor, sans propane, you should be running 15 pounds on the pump. No propane is required for that. With propane, I'd say 20 pounds on the pump should be easy, if the tune is competent.
