Question TR230/224 with a D1

Any huge downfalls to doing this?I figure it would bleed cylinder pressure which is what we want for now till the AFR's come out.Then we'll use a blower Cam.

It being that big on a stock motor and reverse split isn't going to help much...is it 112lsa as well?

It's a H/C car at 10.8-1 compression.This is temporary till we get the AFR's so hp is not the biggest thing we want.It's actually a 111 lsa.
Why buy Cams twice?
Is there any reason why we couldn't run it for now?

That comp is dangerous waters as well, is he running an alky injection kit?

That cam will bleed off some major boost......

I blew a head gasket at 10.6:1 comp with 6psi with my D-1SC with my current baby cam in my 346 motor.......

Yes,I understand the the compression but will tune around that.His motor only has 180psi when hot and is a forged bottom end.I've run timing as high as 26 degree's on stock 10-1 engines and 93 gas that have lasted for years so far.So 20 degree's of timing would be a good start.For now I would like to see the bleedoff which will directly drop the cylinder pressure and have the Head act like a lower compression setup.

Its a 360 forged bottom end, 110.3 lsa for the cam, 170 psi last compression test. Just thought I would through that out there

110 is even worse........

I would suggest changing the cam if you plan on having a worthwhile blower setup.....

I was making 6psi with my D-1SC and my current cam at 10.6:1 comp, when I swapped heads to my current TEAS from my MTI's my boost dropped to 4psi total.....you could see around that PSI most likely with the 3.6" pulley......
