forged 6.125 rods
stock crank
rollmaster double roller timing chain
LS1 intake,TB
custom cam(dont have one spec'd out yet)
317 heads.
stock rockers w/trunion upgrade

TURBO system plans

truck manifold's, or headers
2.5" primary tubes
garrett 76mm .70 compressor a/r .96 exhaust a/r t4 flange
3" downpipe
a-a intercooler
turbosmart(or other manufatcturer) 45mm wastegate

my goal is maybe around 700hp on motor with maybe 12-14psi

any suggestions are welcome, i have lots of pitures of the turbo. its a street car.

i was basing my build off of hot rod mags 594hp 5.3 turbo build.

Headwork is always worth while, and an LS6 intake would be better

That's a really small cam. I think it would work great. Did on my 5.7. 5.3 is not that much smaller.

ok so headwork maybe if i can swing the $$

and it will be a 347

and i just cannot justify spending 300-400$ on an LS6 intake. i know it would be better but i can so spend that money in other places.

thanks guys.

any thoughts on the turbo and supporting components?

I would use that money towards a better flowing intake.

are you opposed to going with a different turbo? aside from that, focus on **** it keep it together and not making more power. i'd keep your list exactly as is.

what i mean by that is spending money on durability and not power, ie : ls1 intake over ls6, etc.

but yah that turbo should make 700 at the crank no problem, i'd be a little worried about the A/R on the EX side though, what size is the turbine wheel?

the turbine exducer is 64mm and the iunducer is 74mm. and why would you be worried about the a/r? spool too quickly?

.96 a/r should be fine on a 347 but it depends on how high youre planning to rev it IMO.
