Default conversion vehicle procharged q's

I have an ls1 with fbody accessories. I'm planning on getting the lsx procharger kit. I'm not sure about the ps pump or alternator required. Can the fbody ps pump work with a remote reservoir? If not would I have to get a vette reservoir? The alternator they list is also a vette alternator. Can I use the fbody alt or does it have to be the vette?

The P/S pump needs to be a '97 -'11 Corvette pump. The Alt has to be an '05-'11 Corvette Alt.

ok, that's what ati had told me, i dont always take them for their word though, you would think they would know a little more about what they were selling. what are the options on the reservoir for the corvette pump? does it mount in the same location as it would on the vette? can you put the reservoir anywhere? does it have to be higher than the pump itself? also for the alternator, will the plug from the fbody harness work with the vette alternator? any other compatability issues i may run into?

http://www.procharger.com/pdf/appGuide.pdf

Take a look at page 29 and 30 (actual page numbers) in the above application guide.
In the options section on page 29 you will see part numbers for the various accessories. Also, check out the footnotes at the bottom of page 30. Bob

Bob, unfortunately those are GM part numbers and they haven't exactly been good about keeping the part numbers the same for an extended period of time.

Usually if you google the part numbers, you'll arrive at the newer superseded part numbers. I had to do this just yesterday for some brake caliper mounting brackets. Bob

ya i think if you go with 05 and up vette on both it should be ok right? but those numbers are no good. so what are the options with the reservoir? does it need to be from a vette? where can it be mounted? should i use the vetter reservoir tube?

Right. I was looking for a little more input than that. If there is something that will just bolt up with all factory parts it would save me time. I don't want to reinvent the wheel if I don't have to. So I was wondering if the vette reservoir, tube, and reservoir bracket would work with the lsx procharger kit.

Look for a PS can from a late model astro van they are remote and will work with the corvette pump or you can use an aftermarket can and braided lines if you have the cash. You can mount either anywhere you want.

As for the accessories you have to use the late model corvette ps pump and alternator I am running the LSX transplant kit as well.

Just clamps on the hoses at the canister. I mounted mine on the DS inner fender.

i dont know why i didnt think to ask before, but is the a.c compressor listed by procharger an f body compressor and bracket or something different? i thought the compressor was on its own seperate belt with the LSX transplant? The picture makes it look like it wouldnt really matter which compressor and bracket was used, but i just wanted to make sure. and as usual the part #'s supplied in the literature are no good, i tried to google also.

With the procharger transplant brackets you can use the factory LS1 Camaro AC bracket but you may have to notch your crossmember to clear the back of the compressor.

thanks. i already notched my frame for that compressor actually so its a good thing i can actually use it with the procharger. i have to notch a little more though. i got the compressor block from doc's blocks, his block is a little thicker than the stock block, but the hoses point in the right direction for me. thanks again.
