Best Spark plug wire for HEAT? Ive run the msd 8.5s and the larger Taylor wires. And they both are getting too hot from my turbo manifold EVEN after i put heat sleeves around them. I wrapped my manifolds but before i did, it actually burned through the rubber and also punctured the feed to the spark plug......
If they are burning through your heat sleeves and the wires they must be contacting the manifolds. There are no wires or heat sleeves that will withstand prolonged exposure to red hot manifolds. You'll need to find a way to zip tie them away from the manifolds. I had this same problem in the past.
