yeah the alky control kit is the way to go. On the street, with the slicks pumped up, it will spin at 50+ in third.

Have you tried some 275/60/15 MT drag radials? I'm able to dead hook from a dig with bringing it up on the foot break. Running 14 psi, I find that If I just stab it from a dead stop it will hook then unload around 30 mph and spin. Have better luck foot braking it. You should have better traction once you get the 3.42s. But when I had a 408 with this turbo I had no traction at all most of the time it was a toss up whether I was gonna spin or not.

I used to run 295/55/15 mt streets. At the track i launch on the t-brake at 3800 and have cut a 1.34, 1.36, and a 1.38 60' back to back. On the street, its a different story

The screen is a no-no. Cause alot of turbulence in front of the compressor wheel. Robs power for sure.

yeah im not sure why i didnt think of that either way, the screen will be staying off and ill probably be putting an air cleaner on in the future.

who would think this runs 9.40's with a just a tire/wheel swap.

Very nice!!! Subscribed. Just started my turbo setup. I'll be making a thread soon so maybe you veterans can chime in and answer questions. Good job on all the fab work too. Looks sick! What did you paint all your pipes with?

Thanks man. The cold pipes were primed then base/clear coated. The manifolds I ceramic coated. Good luck with your build.

went to the track last saturday. track had terrible prep and the car would not hook at all, would spin to the 1/8 and then go for the wall so i had to let off. tires were at 10 psi but still no-go. only was able to run 2 passes out, did a 9.75 and 9.9 @147.7 with a terrible 60' and 1/8 mile. car was sitting on the limiter at 147.7 for a while, which is way off of where it should be. looks like im blowing through the converter which may be why the car is spinning so easily. converter will be going back to get restalled in the future. Also going to switch out my drag setup for a more street oriented setup, trying to trade the wheels/tires for 18's with dr's and putting the stock springs back in the front.

Well that is not good news...

Hope you get it figured out soon. I may be pulling my converter to ship it back to get restalled also. It never ends.
