vortech c5 mods?

vortech c5 mods? I have a 99 frc corvette. I really love being able to get near stock gas mileage out of the car when you dont get the car into boost. My question is what can I do to get some more power out of it and still have a great street car that can get 30mpg on the highway. Mods are 243 heads, z06 cam, fast 78mm intake, LT headers, x pipe, Z06 exhaust, and the vortech v-2 t.
I am wondering what other mods can I do to the car that will still give it the stockish gas mileage. I was thinking I could do some electric cutouts. Any other ideas. Would better flowing heads help much? A larger Fast 102? I am also thinking about a forged shortblock so I can up the boost. Will that hurt my mpg on the highway? Any more mods I might be forgetting? I dont have too much experience with forced induction and what mods help more than others.
I have a miata that is almost complete that is my race car but I keep wanting to have a little more power out of my daily driver. Who doesnt?
Oh the miata is going to be a 418 LS3.

You could do a small cam, it wont make much of a diff to your MPG. Going to a 102 fast wont make much hp diff on a blower car to be worth the $. Depending on the blower kit, you could up the boost a little bit. That way up you power when you are on it.

that sounds like something I could do. I have actually been wanting to up the boost on the car. I might stay away from the fast 102 for now if it wont make much difference. Would cutouts be a bad idea?

Im making a good bit for the stock shortblock I think. The guy that did the mods on it said it dynoed 575rwhp. Im wanting to get a new shortblock for the new power. I really dont want to push the stock one any harder at the moment. The guy said it around 10 pounds of boost. Would a ls2 or ls3 shortblock mess with my gas mileage that much? My vortech said v-2 t on it. How much can one of these push?
