Question Turbo identification help

was told it was a garrett, but no name brand, or part numbers. it has a 0.96 exhaust A/R

on the back of the compressor housing, it says : TDM 76 4S

as it sits now with flat black powder coat

Looks like an eBay Chinese knock off... what did you trade? It should say Garrett on the exhaust housing if its a real Garrett. I could be wrong tho.

They look similar to the ones I am selling but with a different turbine housing. I went through the same thing trying to identify mine. You will probably not find any part number for it as is not sold that way directly from Garrett. Some of their "Power Distributors" take Garrett turbos and change components like compressor wheels and other stuff to make them better.

Here is some info I found on mine.

thats what i figured, i went and measured mine to compare to yours and every measurement is exactly the same! so, im going to stick to my plan and use it, i may see if i can find a V-band exhaust housing for it on Tial's website, they got some nice ones, id prefer that over a 4 bolt flange.

The Tial turbine housings are stainless steel but are expensive($350+) and I don't think they make them for the GT-76 yet. I ordered some a while back ago for a 2010 Camaro and just got them in today. They are Garrett/HTA 3586's with Tial housings.
