Default ready to cam my TVS1900 g8...

it is stock engine DOD cam etc
11psi of boost, methanol injection

i would like to do double springs, and a ls9 cam... i need to also get rid of my DOD lifters and pushrods etc...

i know they sell DOD delete kits that come with alot of ****

this car is basically a daily driver, and i love the quiet stock exhaust on there too, so i figured a ls9 cam should be good for stock converter and exhaust.

i know i will need basically

headgaskets
lifters
pushrods
cam
and depending on the cam a different cam gear

anyone shed some light?

pat g?

Yes, Pat G. If you're considering the LS9 cam, reconsider and use the LS7 cam. Same specs, just a narrower LSA. Better bottom end.

Not a lot of used LS9 cams for sale. Most of those guys don't touch their motors. The good news is a brand new one isn't much more than a hundred bucks. LOTS of LS7 cams around that sell used for under a hundred bucks. Probably several to be had on this site and more yet on the corvette forum. The LS community hasn't caught up to the fact that the specs are the same on the two cams except for the LS7 cam having 2 degrees less LSA, which is a good thing when you're talking 122+ degrees of LSA.

If you can afford a custom cam (well under $400), Pat G can spec you one with near perfect manners that will best either of the previously mentioned cams in all realms.

Neither of the cams in my sig stop pulling before 6500rpm. The Vette cam has good manners. The gmc cam has excellent manners. I know this is hard to believe, but you can have a cam that has good manners, but will still out perform the LS9 cam.
