With an intercooler inside the cabin it would still be really hot. The whole point of an IC is exchange heat. So where does all that heat go? Into the the back of your seat. Hey, free seat warmer! But seriously I don't think the IC would even be effective inside the cabin because you wouldn't have any airflow. This is all assuming an A2A IC.

It would have to be an air to water intercooler as previously mentioned if placed in the cab. Been done for years and is much more efficient than an air intercooler.

I guess I'll put it under the hood like everybody does. Saw a nasty camaro with a 81mm turbo and wanted one ever since then.

You should put it in the dash and route the downpipe into your vents and it will be a very nice heater for the winter

Didn't someone make a kit for the STS's that would locate the air filter in the t-top cubby-hole so you wouldn't run as much risk of sucking water in and got a bit cooler air charge? It seemed like a decent idea on paper to me...not sure if it was worth the money spent on that package though.

I remember seeing pictures of that car a while ago. still doesnt seem like it would get the amount of air it needed.

i'd think an air filter sucking air in the cabin would be very very annoying, and eventually it'd be possible to pull a vacuum..

U could put the intercooler in the cabin and direct the A/C vents onto the core.

Because there turbos have rotational deflux, which means they use engine vacuum to spin the turbo. Duh....

And speaking of rednecks, I got a buddy that is building a twin turbo swamp buggy. One of the big ones with a 7' tall deck. I think AES already finished the motor. I'll post pictures once it starts coming together. Not real crazy about tuning it. Doing WOT pulls on a 2 story building doesn't sound all that fun to me but we'll see.
