Is there a way to make the MSD work off a switched 12v ign source instead of a switched ground?

My transbrake uses a switched ground in 3rd and 4th gear, and since I have my t brake and 2 step wired to the same ground so they work in conjuction the 2 step cuts on in 3rd and 4th gear. Unplug the 2 step and everything works fine, if my t brake didn't use the 2-3 shift solenoid to work this wouldn't be a problem or if the 2 step used ign. instead of ground. Only thing I can think of is using a switch to cut the 2 step off after I launch, or get the new LPE unit that cuts off after a certain mph.

Edit added: Well after staying up nearly all night till 5:30 messing with the way the 2 step is wired, and looking at instructions I see that it is possible to wire the 2 step off 12v ign. and turn it on or off with a switch. This is what I asked for initially, but I would still incur the same problem with having to turn it off after I launch like I would by tying in a on/off toggle switch to my 2 step the way it currently is wired instead of switching it all around to 12v and a on/off switch and still being in the same boat.

I guess the only way around this is to buy the LPE unit. I have been reading the instructions on it and it sounds like a much more integrated unit, and a much more feature rich unit. Don't get me wrong if you want to still build boost and launch at a certain rpm and stage a certain rpm the MSD gets the job done simply. But if you would like timing retard by map sensor/per .second intervals and having more flexibility in wiring and set-up the LPE is the unit for you.

Hmm I was on LPE's site and they have instructions up on how to install it, I thought the LPE 2 step had timing retard and the new one is a 3 step instead?

currently LPE does not sell a 2-step with timing retard, they are working on one now.
