Default rearmount help

so i finally got my rear mount done and set up. I m waiting to get a tune and now my car feels super sluggish and wont rev past 4500rpm. The only thing i ve changed since installing it and cruising around the block was adding a short 3inch 90 bend for an exhaust down pipe. I changed my axle seal and had to remove an intake pipe and reinstall it. Barring the fact that maybe a pipe is disconnected any other ideas what it could be?? turbo is a tc76 and its intercooled btw

okay i m really stumped here. I tightened all the pipes down and borrowed my bros maf bc i was thinking my having a descreened one was throwing it off. It feels slightly better but feels really sluggish and wont make any boost. best i got was 4 inch/hg of vaccum. I was throwing two codes that i just scanned. One was like 502 i wanna say, a high or low idle code. The other was a po107 for the map sensor so i think i know why its being goofy.

see the the thing is i havent tuned it yet. I m getting it ready to get tuned and wanted to fix the axle seals and such. After that, i put it all back togather and its doing this and throwing those codes. Could a faulty map sensor cause my car to run that bad that it wont spool? I m gonna change it tomorrow and test it. Then pressure test i suppose. Is their any special way to do it or should i just block off part of the piping and fill it with air and watch my boost gauge?

Possible vacuum leak somewhere? Leak test it.

No its the stock map sensor. My plan is to get it tuned by Madz28 tuner and my maf. When I up the boost beyond 6-7 psi I may go speed density. I m gonna change the map and do boost/vac leak tests. Any other ideas though while I m at it

Do you have any silicone 90 degree elbows? If it is a cheap one and sees too much vacuum, it will collapse and possibly restrict airflow.

I really don't think I'd drive it at all untill it got a boost tune and a more boost friendly MAP sensor.

Thank you! I just read this and this was my ONLY thought! OP, DONT EVEN TRY TO BOOST without a tune.

Yes, get a 2bar map sensor, also, just becuase you tightened all the clamps doesnt mean anything.

You should cap off the charge pipe before the throttle body, or cap the compressor and do an air test.

I like to use the red cap that came on my compressor housing from Turbonetics and put a cap in the charge pipe with an air fitting.

FIRST, then, while running, IDLE, check to make sure you have no exhaust leaks, as they will DESTROY a rearmount.

But, like has been said, GET a REAL tune. i wouldnt even consider boosting that car.

ALSO< Killernoodle has a point as well. Cheap couple will collapse. I paid 45 dollars for one from silicone intakes, and it collapsed on my rearmount.

thanks for the help guys, really appreciate the ideas. I dont think i elaborated enough though on some things.

1. A tune is not going to prevent the turbo from spooling. I already slowly crept up on to get 1 psi out of the turbo before lifting. I wondering why the motor wont do it again and feels so sluggish.
2. I have hptuners, i ve adjusted the afr and timing tables so i m not real worried. Even if i had not 1 psi isnt gonna kill a motor thats not tuned. I could tune my car cuz i have a wideband but I dont want to bother i would rather an expert do it. H/C not a problem but i m not gonna mess with a boosted engine
3. first thing i did was check for exhaust leaks. I understand the basic principles of a rearmount but i feel i m beyond the obvious and its something more complex. Again IT HAS SPOOLED BEFORE. Only thing i ve changed was the axle seals and removing and reinstalling a small charge pipe. I welded alot of the tubing so i dont have to many couples and i dont have any 90 degree ones other than the large one on my intake manifold

Again i appreciate everyones input. I m gonna leak test tomorrow according to jax04s procedure. I did notice today though that the vac lines that go to the headlights are off bc i reinstalled the bumper. so right there i know i have a small vac leak. I will stop by speed inc and grab a 2 bar map sensor and install that i guess instead of an oem one. thanks guys i ll let you know what i come up with
