I'm looking at a block for sale (actually a neighbor). He bought the block already machined with grooves cut in it for an out of state guy a couple years ago and never used it. I've never had this done and was wondering about the correct dimensions to make sure it was done right before snatching this thing up. How wide, deep should it be and how far away from the bore should it be. Or better, where on the gasket should it make the print?
I'd take it to the engine builder to have it checked out, but thats not an option at the moment due to time.

Well, I didn't get a chance to snag this up. Someone got there before me. He litterally gave it away.
Anyway, for future reference....anyone wanna share any details? I'm gonna doubt so cause I did some searching and came up with nothing. I'm guessing the main question anyone would have is where to locate the cut in reference to the gasket being used.
