Default AN fitting question

alright so i have to switch out my oil lines and i think i got this right.

its a t72 with a t3

so i have a 6an for the feed? and will the 6an fittings plug into the 3/8 hole thats on top of the oil filter ( for feed line)-- so is the an thread the same as pipe thread?

and for the retun 10an and will that thread into a 1/2 i think?

sorry if this is just confusing. ask any maby i can clear it up...

thanks

NPT(pipe thread) and AN fittings are no where near the same. NPT uses the threads as the seal, hence the need for tape/pipe dope. AN fittings use the flare as the seal. You'll ned an NPT to AN thread adapter that Summit sells, as do others
