Default Turbonetics T76

Hey guys,

I've been slowly piecing together a 370 using the stock rotating assembly with good pistons with the intent of sticking a turbo on it and I have the opportunity to pick up a brand new Turbonetics T76 for a steal. My only concern is it has a .82 AR exhaust housing on it. Now I'm not looking for an all out low 9 second car or anything like that, I'm just building a fun daily driver to play around with. So how well would this turbo work out on a street car?

That turbo for just a street car would be ok, still not completely ideal. I think that turbo is good for 850 maybe more.

I would shoot for at least an 80mm with a .96 AR or a 76mm with a .96 AR.

I got a tc78 for sale with about 500 miles on it. It's a .96 AR housing. Shoot me a PM!

Are you wanting to build a front-mount or rear-mount turbo setup? I think you'll run into backpressure problems with that turbo on a front-mount. I know guys have tried to use 1.32 AR Ex Housings on T76 front-mounts to try and help with backpressure issues. I have a .96 AR Exhaust Housing for a T76 68mm F1 trim wheel for sale if you decide to switch out the .82.
