Default Catch can or no catch can

Getting ready to throw on a incon tti stage 3 kit running only 7-8lbs for now. After reading almost every thread on catch cans it seems running this low of boost I really only need to vent both valve covers rather than run a catch can setup. What do you guys think, am I safe at 550hp with venting only the valve covers? I want to take every safeguard so if a $100 catch can will save my motor then so be it.

Thanks
Travis

I am no expert, but it sounds like even with minimal amounts of boost, a forced induction LS motor should have some form of pcv catch can.

I've come across posts indicating that breathers alone aren't sufficient, and aren't always a great adjunct to catch cans.

Buy a catch can.
