Default Turbo Questions.......

So i had a rear mount turbo........long story but anyways. i want a front mount turbo but curious what size turbo i should go with and how big can the stock bottom end hold on a ls1. Its basically a cam only car but i think doing a turbo would be a nice upgrade and a very good sound to add. Something different from a normal LS1. I want a procharger but that price is way too expensive i think i can build my own turbo set up for cheaper and get just as good of gains in hp. I have a 6.0 in the garage that i will be throwing in my car this winter and maybe i can swap this turbo right onto that??

Well you can find used procharger kits for $3000-$3500 and if you buy just a head unit and braket you can peice a FMIC set up together and have a Procharger set up for even less. You will easily spend $3000 building you own turbo kit unless you use cheap junk parts

How good are your fabrication skills?

I put mine together for a very reasonable amount. If you were to do truck manifolds and ditch the AC it would be even easier.

I havent seen any used ones for that price but that seems very reasonable in that range and u get some good reliable power out of them
