Smile Carbed turbo guys, I need some advice on a crazy project.

I just got a crazy idea awhile ago....be prepared to read.

I bought an 86' Trans Am that I will eventually restore but for now I just wanted to experiment.

My plan is to build a budget Turbo carbureted 355 for it using a lot of parts I already have.

Now keep in mind I really don't plan on setting any records or even care how efficent the setup is and I want to try to get it done for no more than $2K.

355 carbureted 9:x CR running between 5-15 PSI, The turbo is kinda small and will boost quickly i'm guessing.
What I have:

GM-3 6.5L Diesel Turbo with factory internal wastegate
6.5 Diesel exhaust manifold with flange (T3 I believe)
Oil feed line and drain.
short block Goodwrench 350 4 bolt roller block that needs a complete rebuild
stock 3rd gen exhaust manifolds and y-pipe.
(possibly) have a 750 holley carb
accessories
distributor

What I need:
very short single plain intake (I think weiand makes a good one)
Carb hat
ebay intercooler
waterpump
all fluids
plugs/wires/coil
hoses
fuel regulator
cooling fan
L98 aluminum heads
air filter
B.O.V. (not sure where to put it on a carb setup)
engine kit (cheap boost pistons also)
belts
misc ****

I guess I don't exactly have a question but if I could get some advice on how to set this up better and how to make it work that would be great! Like I said, this isn't really to set any records, hell I don't care if it runs 14's! I just wanted to have something cheap and fun.

That turbos gonna be too small.... get another one and do a twin setup... or get rid of it and get something bigger. T70 or t76. A single t3 is just going to be too small.

What exactly will be the problem? will it spool too fast? I'm no turbo expert by any means, I just figured if a big 6.5 Diesel can spin this thing, so can my little 355. I know diesel boosting is clearly different and that these turbo could only peak at about 15 psi or so.
