Rearmount turbo selection help..(NEWBIE) Running a stock block ls1, stock heads and cam. 48lb trick flow injectors, tr6 plugs, intercooled and meth injected. Had a tc 78 that came in pieces from a kit i bought from a member here. Sent it off the Forced Inductions for a rebuild and wouldnt ya know it got to them with a hole in the box and everything BUT the compressor and exhaust housing missing (Was not insured)Now I have to get another unit. Ive found this unit on ebay (economy I know)...

they offer a .68 or .81 ar exhaust side. I just need a little guidance if nothing else. This was planned to be an under 3k rearmount build but, as it always does, is getting out of control. Im shooting for 500hp at the wheels.

im shooting for the 4k mark now. Only so many blank checks i can get from the wife. The .81 ar is my guess as well with my limited knowledge. I just wonder how well this unit will hold up...considering its 1/2 the cost of a turbonectics unit. i guess i could put some kind of in line filter to catch anything if it decides to let go right?
im with hawk584 on this one... .81a/r ... stock exhaust manifolds, fully wrapped exhaust, get it tuned right...
i had set a 4K budget for mine... reality slapped me in the face and the budget went out the door quick... just dont be alarmed if you have to spend more.
