The LSX came out in 100% working order... it will be the backup motor for the rest of this year until ERL has time to build me a bigger better motor for next year. (oops, did I let that slip)

No, it is in the stock location.

Yes we did, We made some tuning passes last Friday at National Trail Raceway. This intake setup was designed for the ERL mill by AllPro to mate up to the AllPro heads we will be running on the new motor, but I just couldn't wait so we put it on and tuned the motor for it. (just in case we need it later)

As for results, we were pretty happy with what we saw. My tuner hit the fuel changes right on the first shot (that has to be good) and we made 2 partial passes then started making full passes. We got tuned all the way up to 15lbs before the track started going away, but at 15psi the car was dead hooking and running 8.90. We turned it up to 20psi and the track wasn't ready for the power, we just blew the tires off. Unfortunately by this time the track was closing down, but we got tons of great data and are ready to run the LSX with the new Intake if we ever need to.

Looking incredible man!

So what is the plan with the old motor now?? Tear it down and sell it off? or back up motor?
Back up for now, if you come to any of the races, you will see a complete long block valve covers to oil pan bolted to a transport stand in my trailer. If we have to, we will change it at the track.

Before we were running the LS7 Style ETP heads. They worked well for us, but I am expecting the AllPro's to be even better!

Awesome build. What is the goal with this new setup? How much boost will you be able to run?

Man I'd love to have an ERL motor.

I'll be happy when I get my LQ4 and am able to put forged pistons and rods in it, and have the 317's ported and polished. If I play my cards right it will have TF 220 as casts on it, I'd love to throw the whole parts book at it, but I just can't swing it right now.

New motor is in the car... Intial startup is done and the engine is cooling overnight.

Tomorrow we should start tuning!

I assume you don't run an air filter on that turbo?

So you went 7's with stock rocker arms with the upgraded trunions on the last motor? Wow.

Are you using a crank trigger and a distributor mark?

I ask because I see the timing light, but I see coil packs, or are those just brackets?

Yep... We will see what we can do with a solid roller setup soon.

We do have a timing point that we use to compare to the stand alone computer. We are running the coil packs still.
