Default GMPP intake vs Ls6 intake for turbo

Im running a custom rearmount 70mm turbo, hitting close to 600rwhp 700trq... with a stock 02 z06 cam in a ls1, ls6 intake, stock TB. 317 heads - mild port, forged bottom end. About 17lbs of boost... intercooled with meth. Mostly street car, pump gas. I get into boost around 2700rpm.

I love my setup, but would like another 150-200hp. So, id like to change my cam, and my intake setup. I have a GMPP carb style intake laying around... ive also got a lingenfelter GT11 cam, but i think its going to be too small.

My questions is would it be worth it to switch to the carb style intake with my setup? What kind of cam should I be looking at to match it?

I heard the ls9 cam was pretty nice. The biggest thing is I dont want a big lopey cam, Id like to keep driveability over an extra 10-20hp.

Any input is appreciated!

you're gonna need a turbo before anything else. i'd actually say you could get there without changing anything BUT the turbo...

IMO stick the gt11 in it, and something like an st80 (what zombie was running IIRC) and you'll be set. you'll want springs with a decent amount of seat pressure too, ~145lbs or better, if you dont already. i'd really take a look at zombies thread if you really wanna make the most of this rear mount setup...

yeah Id agree, that turbo is probably out of steam as it is. a 76mm compressor minimum, the st80 would be good. You absolutely will gain considerable power just by making a turbo upgrade from the 70mm

Swapping intakes would be a waste of time. Stick with the LS6

Thanks guys!! I guess ill pass on the GMPP intake. Not many people seem to like that intake less its a strictly drag car.

Going with a larger turbo would mean Id come into boost later? Id rather, at this time, do a cam ($200-350) versus a new turbo ($1000)... if I could get the same results. Yes I understand I could get much more with the turbo, but i like to see what this setup could do maxed out before changing anything big. Eventually id like to do a 408 and turbo upgrade, just not yet.

I dont think the GT11 will get me there, as its pretty similar to the LS6. Anyone have an opinion on a cam? ls9?

Throw a 100hp nitrous shot on top..... You are all out of breath with the turbo.

A cam change won't net miraculous HP gains.

Modular Turbo is selling units for $650-700 to get you where you need to be. Obviously you will need a retune and probably larger injectors/fuel pump to deal with it.

Since you are in Vegas you should look into running e85 or e98 ethanol.
