I can't wait till you get it buttoned up again. My 5.3 turned out to be a 4.8 not a big deal I guess. How does the T56 like the added power? Just a little curious BC I don't see myself daily driving a th400 and definitely can't afford a 80e.
Is there anything in particular you didn't like about the gt45?

my t56 was already built up, so i havent had any issues, been running 440+hp through it for 40k miles now.
I dont really have anything to compare the gt45 to until i finish installing the new turbo tomorrow. The downpipe fitment didnt work so i had to do some fabbing, and then i am also cleaning some things up while i am there
The gt45 did its job for 50$ i got it for. Spooled pretty quick and power came on good, but like i said, i dont know how a name brand turbo feels yet so i dont know what to expect.

Well the car ran great on all stock internals. That new cam should wake it up, just curious are you planning on any Meth?
I know I'm asking far to many questions, but how much do you have invested in the Turbo setup since you did it yourself?

meth is my next upgrade, especially since i live in texas and it gets hot as *****, today i was surprised though, in the 95* temperatures i was logging 90* IAT's which is rather impressive i thought
As for a total invested into the project
850- tc78
100- RPS 50mm bov
300- Precision 46mm WG
200-Stainless piping 3.5" and 2.25"
100-oil fittings and oil lines
150- for intercooler/piping/couplings
all of these parts were bought brand new-so 1700 in just turbo parts
then i have 500 in injectors, 200 in fuel pump setup, 800 in a mcleod twin disk i bought slightly used
all in all probably 4000$ for everything in my setup including v-bands, gauges and all other misc. things

Finally got around to putting some new goodies in the Turbo ss
My old ebay turbo got killed because my oil fitting caught some metal shavings and no oil could get into the turbo. so while the car was down i put some new upgrades in!
Here is my list of new parts- i still need to install the fuel system
-Custom comp cam 224/232 .590/.590 114 lsa
-317 heads ported and milled down to 63 cc- SHould be about 9.7 Compression now on my 5.3 truck motor
-Texas Speed Hardened Pushrods
-PRC Double valve springs
-ls7 lifters
-Turbonetics TC78 .96 A/R and custom 3.5" exhaust housing and downpipe flange
-Bosch 78lb injectors
-Deatschwerks 320LPH fuel tank
Sanded down and sprayed the engine bay with some color match paint
The old setup made 45* HP/50* tq on 6 psi with bone stock 5.3.. Really hoping i can make 580-600 hp/650tq with this new setup on 6-8 lbs. My main goal is to break 750-800hp on 12-15lbs

Still no turbo, everyday I call they tell me it will ship tomorrow. And they have had my turbo for 16 days now, and when i first sent the turbo in they told me 5-7 day turnaround time maximum... bs. So hopefully they will throw in a billet wheel or something for the terrible service. Not to mention it took a whole month to build it the first time and it started falling apart after 40miles
