P-1SC at 7 psi and the stock A4....

My question is, will the stock tranny hold up to 7psi or should i play it safe and do 5psi until i can afford a stronger tranny.

My trans has 35,055 miles on it and I change the fluid and filter at 25,000.

My old 2K z28 had 5,000 miles and an ST3500 converter when I put the ATI on it and it took 5000 miles of street beating and ~75 1/4 passes at ~6-7psi (ran 11.30s @ 122). When I took the blower off at 11,000 miles it was shifting a little soft but still OK..

I will be using the stock manifolds and converter, so i won't be making 426 ftlbs like you did,So my stock tranny should be ok until I can get a stronger replacement. Should I do anything else, like add a cooler or a deep pan.

I know these sound like dumb questions you have all probaly heard before, but i know zero about the 4l60e, I just wanna make sure my stock tranny will survive until I get get a stronger one.

I would do a trans cooler and firm up the shifts a little, it really depends how much you beat on it. If you dont beat it at the dragstrip every week or do 2nd gear burnouts it should last quite a while..

Depends, if you want a complete bolt on setup with everything included then vortech.

If you dont mind tuning and doing a little customizing here and there, the ATI.

There are several good threads about it, just do a search on vortech and ati and it can keep you reading for hours

Sounds good, I was gonna give Speed Inc. a call when a got everything installed and see if they could tune it for me, ill just have them firm up the shifts a tad.

What size cooler would you suggest for a stock A4
