Default What power are you making with your 6.0, and how much boost did it take?

I got a 6.0 to put in my 66 nova wagon. I'm doing a truck manifold single 76mm. How much power have you made with your stock short block 6.0? What did you do to get it (cam, heads, turbo size)? How much boost? Are people popping pistons out, giving it a fresh hone and re-gaping the rings? Is it even worth the trouble? Would it make it last longer? Please post your power numbers and builds.

When I had a stock short block it made 602 rwhp and 650 rwtq through a t56. That was a stock rotating assembly with arp rod bolts, a blower cam and a t76 at about 10 lbs.

For a budget engine being pushed to the limits, yes. Not ideal for extended street duty though

A buddy of mine made 717 on a stock bottom end 6.0 with rod bolts behind a 4l80e. Never blew up, he moved up to a 408. This was on e85 and twin turbos.

Why would it not be ideal for extended street duty? Blow by?

76mm, 12 degrees timing, 11lbs, 93 pump gas, 486hp don't remember torque. Now on e85 and 16 degrees of timing. Feels alot stronger. No dyno numbers tho.
