Default which intake gasket for lq4 boost?

Hey guys

Hows the felpro stock type gaskets work for boost on an lq4? The black plastic with the orange orings?

Do i need the metal permadry type intake gaskets or something else entirely?

looking at 15psi boost.

thanks guys!

If you're using a stock intake, with the stock o-rings, why would you even consider downgrading to anything else ?

downgrading? not quite sure i understand.

Ill be running around 10-15 lbs of boost with the stock lq4 plastic intake

heres my options:

1) use the stock type plastic gaskets with the orange orings
2) upgrade to the metal gaskets with orings (these are the permadry ones)
3) something else even better

so id like to know: for boost, is the stock plastic type fine or do i need to buy the metal perma-dry type or something else

thanks

I am assuming since you said plastic with orange rubber you are using a truck intake. (which the gaskets are totally different than ls1/6 gaskets)

I would recomend getting some new GM gaskets they updated them the Orange ones have issues and the new ones are green rubber with plastic And they work really well.

Just use the factory gaskets, they rarely need replaced.

The number of people that far overcomplicate their setup is almost painful anymore.

Thanks for the straight up useless information team. Simply put the standard o-rings don't f*cking work on the truck manifold. If they did I wouldn't be f*cking asking the question. I brought a truck manifold and it came with the manifold and fuel rail, thats it. Hence the quite simple question asking where he got his gaskets from.

Here's an idea from now on if you don't have the answer don't post a reply

Default intake gaskets

I run a stock truck intake with just factory gaskets. I'm on 17psi and 800 to the wheel. Don't have a ton of time on it yet. But it hasn't been an issue to this point.
