Default hobbs switch placement?

Wheres the best spot to place a hobbs switch for activating a second fuel pump? Can it be in an intercooler pipe or should it be on the intake...? If it has to be on the intake how should I attach it to my plastic truck intake? Thanks!

Hmmm, I never thought about screwing it directly into the vacuum/boost manifold. Cool, glad I saw this thread.

Screws in like butter. You lose an inside port because the Hobbs is a huge bitch. You could getsome fittings from ace and 90 degree it if you need all the ports. I didn't though.

Either would work. Welding in a bung on the intercooler piping would be fine.

which vacuum line did you run off of (if you have a pic that would really help) it looks like you have a lot of room?

Here's where I have the main line connected.

Here's where I have my vacuum block. That's the passenger headlight (I'm sure you can figure that out though).

Another shot.

Catch can shot for fun.

Engine bay shot to see the mess of vacuum lines I have on the passenger side.

I tried routing them the best I could. I put the block and catch can where they are at to get them out of the engine bay and it was easier to mount them there. When I am bored sometime I may try cleaning them up more, but it works like it is. Hopefully this helps some and gives another idea of how to route things.
