Default Heads or Motor gone

22 to 25 psi b/c WG failed to open.
Won't be able to run full diagnosis on the motor for two weeks.
I don't see evidence of coolant in oil, was too hot to check.
Smoke coming out of breather is white.
What do you guys think motor or heads lifted?

Pulled the heads and dont see anything definitive on what ghe causd of the white smoke out the oil filler. Couple of friends looked and see one small area on driver's side HG that looks suspect. Going to get nre HGs and put it back together this weekend.

Leakdown test would have told volumes, but that's a decent volume of crankcase ventage. I'd look VERY closely at each bore for irregularities then bring each piston up to TDC and do your best to look for a cracked top ring. Best you can do at this point. Good luck.

How much boost were you setup to run before the spike? How long did it take you to notice the spike?

Maybe a second.
Just confirmed that oil is on the threads of number 7 plug and looking into the threads of the 7th chamber on the head, oil can be seen. So looks like i cracked the common no#7 ringland.

Now i gotta break the news to the wife.
Oh well

If money is tight, just throw a 4.8 or 5.3 in it for the time being.

Number 7 ringland. The price that broke off feel out when the piston taken out. The cylinder wall was still smoothed, had hone done to seat the new rings. Everyhk g is back together, just gotta put some miles fondest the new rings and back into boost I go.

Glad you got it fixed up. What wastegate were you using? Was it a vaccuum line that came off to cause it not to open?

Glad you got her fixed man! That looks painfully familiar, lol.

Only difference, mine was #5 top ringland, and it was a big *** chunk like that. I shouldve just slapped a new piston in their and re ringed it.

Glad you got her back together man!

Tial, just needed some servicing. The valve had build up of some rusty water residue on it. It was a few months since I pushed past 10psi thus the WG hasnt been opened probably since April at my last track outting
