Default Need some suggestions on winter project.

Ok my goal is to have a 600 rwhp. I am at at 509 right now. I bought some 317 heads that I plan on having them cleaned up. What should I do to them. A plan on buying a blower cam from Bob and installing a meth kit. It's going into a stock bottom end ls1. Car is mostly going to be a steer car. What else should I get to get me into that range.

your gonna have to give more info dude...

-Are you turbo or supercharger? What size/type?
-what PSI you running at now?
-Injector size?
-Fuel Pump?
-What mods do you already have..?

Fa1 with 10 psi with 60 lbs injectors with a dual pump. Full exhaust with 1 7/8 longtubes. M6

hhmmm, i would think youd be at the 600rwhp mark already, especially at 10psi.... theres guys running 8 psi and hitting 550+. a meth kit is gonna help for sure, but i dont think its gonna give you 100hp worth. What timing and AFR are ya running? maybe u had it tuned conservatively? you could make the tune more aggressive if your able to, but youll be playing with fire with a stock bottom.

i would suggest forging the bottom end, and upping the boost, you already have the fuel system for it.

did u get dynod on a mustang dyno?

It was on a dynojet. Afr is 11.1 at full boost. Not sure on the timing. I was hoping the more aggressive tune with the meth and the blower cam and some kind of work on the heads would put me there. I don't want to tear into the motor until I have to. Car just turned 70k miles.

your running a pretty safe AFR. with meth and the blower cam + a little more aggressive tune should get you there i would think

What about the heads should I replace the springs and pushrods?maybe the valves? It's a manual

id def do all of that, minus the valves. dual springs, hardened push rods, titanium reatiners, new seats, and valve stem seals. along with a ls2 timing chain and an ls6 ported oil pump.

u could always have the heads ported too, just all depends on how deep ur pockets are...
