Default New C5 Corvette

I just sold my 95 camaro and bought a 02 c5 corvette so I am going from the lt1 to the ls1. I am looking at building up the LS1 and putting a maggie supercharger on the car and seeing whats the most horsepower I can get out of that setup. I may even do a hit of the n2o if I am not happy with power.

My question is what is a good build as far as cubes and I am not against resleeving the block and going with some higher cubes if needed. I would then be able to go with some different heads which would help out with the power goals. I would like 800rwhp with the engine rebuild and supercharger build. Does anyone think this is possible.

no need to resleeve for 800hp. build an lq9 (370,408) or the ls1 (347,383). youll be happy with just a twin screw if you do it right. you shouldnt need nawwz

That statement contradicts itself. If you want the most peak power out of the car, stay away from PD blower.

Do yourself a favor and check out the Dallas Performance Procharger kits, A&A kit, or the ECS kit. All these kits use centrifugal superchargers and for good reason.

IF he wants peak numbers, that is. there's just something kinky about making 700 ftlbs at 2,000 rpm

He did say that he wants the MOST HP out of the car possible. That implies peak numbers in my mind.
The idea is cool, but not if you can't use the power and that idea is offset by the fact that you have a huge heat pump attached to the top of the motor.
You simply won't find anyone in the Corvette world with a PD blower that outruns a centri car. Just search on CorvetteForum for a while. You will see that ECS holds many 1/4 mile records, A&A kit is an awesome bang for the buck and will easily make 800rw, and DallasPerformance is doing amazing things with the Procharger kits.

I was looking at the maggie for not just power reasons but for apperance reasons as well. I don't like how those kits are put in the car next to the cai. I am a clean freak when it comes to my cars. I realize the centri's will make more power and I contradicted myself in the first post. I would like to stay with the maggie and LS1 and get the most power out of that combo. Twin turbo is also nice but I don't feel I need it at this point. So is it possible to get 800rwhp with this combo and what needs to be done to do so.

I know one person off the top of my head that has made big power with a PD blower. If you're a member on CorvetteForum, search for member "Funcool". However, he made a bunch of custom adjustments with his setup.

800rwhp will be very hard with Maggie IMO..
I'd go with built 347-390ci with either one of these blowers F1C or Novi 2200 or YSI

Maybe look into the new whipple kits. You'll have to swap to l92/ls3 heads but atleast it will support 800rwhp.

Im on corvette forum now and there is a nice difference between TVS2300 and A&A thread right on the front page. I am doing some major research now and figuring out what I want to do. Those centri kits just dont look right sitting up front there. Maybe I am just to ocd when it comes to my cars. Thanks for the help everyone.

If this doesn't look right, I don't know what does.

Only one thing looks better, IMO, and it rhymes with "Bin Burbos"

Whipple is out the door. They don't make kits for the 97-04's and even if you swapped out the heads to LS3/LS7 it would be a custom kit and you would be spending a nice chunk of change on custom brakets and parts to make it work. I now realize the maggie probably wont get me there without some serious modding and n2o. So if I do go with a centri I will go with A&A kit in the YSi trim. I am not looking for a turbo setup too hot and too many extras and problems.

doesn't kennebell make a kit? so some research into the 03-04 cobra guys and see there mods to get higher levels. they make a metric ton of torque with the 4.6L albeit they are DOHC.

there you go. Kennebell kit, 2.8L supercharger kit made for the c5 corvette. I think the cowl hood is mandatory with this supercharger

KB kits for corvettes suck! Seriously!
Jeff at TPE was the leader in KB stuff for the C5 platform and he no longer talks about it or advertises it. He may have even went to TT's for his shop/personal car.
