You dont need a crank pinning kit, I fretted over it for a week or so then did it the easy way. Go to Sears and get a $10 drillbit set, the one with the crappy black drill bits that barely cut through wood after one use. Start with a small drill bit and drill at the seam between the crank snout and balancer, where the crank pinning kit would. You might drill into the crank more than the balancer with this first bit, so use a small one, go about an inch deep. Then once that is done, use a slightly bigger bit and drill again, using slight leverage on the drill to make sure you are evenly drilling into the balancer and the crank snout. Keep going until you get to a bit size you are happy with, I think I went up to 11/32" or something. Now for the pin, take the final drill bit you just used and dremel an inch off the solid end that goes in the drill, and use that as the pin. Even the cheapest drillbits should be hard enough to act as the pin. DONE and cheap.
