Default APS twin or STS singal turbo on stock internals?

Want to turbo my 2000 Z/28 with 71000 miles. I have done some research and thought I would see if I could get some info from some fellow members with either setup. I know injectors and a good tune are a must, but would it be realistic to run 8 to 10 psi on a stock LS1? If not what would be a number I could run or what would I have to do to the engine to be able to run 8 to 10psi without blowing up my engine?

yeah if your going to go turbo kytp front mount is the way to go,if your set on turbo by all means that is a great way to go, im looking for a really good used d1sc procharger kit, i have read for days and months and for me a procharger seems to be the easiest way, bolt on ,tune, and roll, you will need fuel upgrades as well but do some research on prochargers you might change your mind .all i can say is read ,read, read about what you wanna do,also maybe talk to josh at kytp, he is full of good info, good luck man

i wouldnt just say sts flat out sucks, for a stock long block its actually not a bad setup. just the stupid oil return pump. aps is a nice kit with **** turbo's thats no longer made/supported.

procharger is a great setup but head unit repairs scared me away from it. BIG money to fix.

I went with a front mount kit from josh at ky turbo

I have a used rear mount kit off my 99.....and some new ones too.....but the used rear mount kit I went 10.20 @133 on a stock short block. Swap the heads to some 317's (i have a few sets of them too), put in a z06 cam and 60 lb injectors and itll make very nice power. With a 76 mm turbo I was making 630...out of fuel.

My wifes car(a 98) runs 10 to 14 psi, on a stock motor, stock cam, with 317's mls gaskets and arp head studs. On 91 with water / meth.
