5.3 t70 KYTP build thread front mount well after 2years my car is finally coming together. my goal is to drive to track run a nice mid 10 sec pass and drive it home but will see.

twin in tank 255 walbros
8an feed
stock feed is my return
60lb injectors

I cut mine when i put a walbro in. It helps to keep fuel in the bucket, along with keeping the pump cool. The stock pump (as you likely know) has a pump to pull it in the bucket, then the pump to send it to the engine. Being that you're eliminating that, you need the extra area open to allow fuel to surround the pump. IIRC, i read that the number one killer of walbros is excessive heat. my .02.
