C6/truck manifold front mount. 3.5dp,2.5 cross over. Your run of the mill fbody front mount, nothing to complicated.

Hmm that is weird, maybe you just got a blem Turbo? Or here's a thought, do you have a flex pipe in the crossover somewhere? Sometimes they start to fall apart or shrink inside somehow, just throwing out ideas here. Good luck!

I called Joe at comp about which 80mm turbo was used in the ford magazine articles. He said my exact turbo except with a cast wheel. He said my entire issue was the billet comp wheel. I guess on a large cube motor it flows to much and the turbine can't keep up causing massive back pressure. I hope he is right.

Thats only true once you reach the hp limit of the turbine wheel. A billet wheel does not make the turbine side flow less lol.

Everyone knows that Precision is junk. I'll give you $400 each for those POSs and let you buy me a beer for being a nice guy.

In for results as I'm worried about the backpressure my combo may have on a 417" w/ 87mm turbine...

Need to update sig lol. Im at 900whp and 9.8 now. Those numbers were with an 80/79 with a cast comp wheel instead of the billet that had the 4:1bp.

The cast had About 2:1 bp.

I since put a ct5 94/88 turbine 88 comp wheel billet. That's about 1.5:1 bp and works well.

FK I didn't see somebody bumped and old thread. So the only thing that was different was cast vs billet wheel and the back pressure doubled? Was the 4:1 and 2:1 at the same boost? Thanks for the reply.

Did you get any track times with the 80/79 cast or billet?

Only track times were with the cast, the billet wouldn't even get past 11psi because of the high bp. Didn't think there was much of a point to track it like that.

Comp told me all they did was swap out the billet for the cast. Back when iv was in this a few others said the billet on thatv turbo does not work well.
