What is a slip discharge?

What is a slip discharge? I was reading in foecedinductions.com and it said a genuine Borg warner housing was available and had a SIP discharge? So what exactly is it and what does it do? Thanks for any help.
Most BW turbos have a vband outlet on the compressor, The slip fit discharge on the race covers doesn't have the vband, you just slide a 3" coupler over it and tighten it down with a clamp.
