Question Converting Ebay hotside kit to T6?

have anyone done this?

Does it look like there is enough space to fit a Holset HT60 in that location?

I want to do this temporarily for about 6 months to a year before I build a custom kit.

the one for about $500. with the one side that goes around behind the motor and meets up to the other. Its the cheap one that i heard you have to round out some holes to line up the headers.

ebay - ptk version

I guess its a godspeed kit. I thought I heard it was a knock off of a PTK kit or some other kit.

Why not do it right the first time and build your own kit? You can copy the ptk kit with a truck pass Mani and a pass fbody Mani and make the t6 fit just right.plus it would be cheaper

i think it would be a tight fit, you will have to modify the car some as well.

I think it will be a tight fit. The turbo sits really low, but the angle the flange is on, makes it difficult to go much bigger than a 76/78..

you could get a t4 flange and weld it to a pipe then add a t6 flange to the pipe too (like a t4 to t6 adapter )bolt it to the existing t4 flange and bring the turbo higher up.. the ptk copy mounts the turbo really low ,i had to notch my driverside horn to put a downpipe on my gt42 turbo ,im sure you will have to move the radiator forward also

what about cutting off the t4 flange, welding a curved pipe that would bring the outlet to the middle facing up, right infront of the motor and weld a t6 on there and brace. It would be in the location most people mount it when they delete a/c and merged a crossover.

After you do all of this modding and fabbing to this kit you could just buy one that fits or build your own.

I know, I just trying to be lazy and don't want to buy a tank for my mig. I was hoping to take a short cut for a while.

How much do people normally spend on the steel for hot side piping when trying to keep a/c? I know the manifolds are like $60 when you can find them

I am building a TT kit right now and have 200 in flanges and pipe. I still need to buy 3" pipe for the downpipes. That should put me at about 350 and I had to buy two T4 flanges and wastegate flanges.
