Default turbo build questions, help, and advise

this here is my first turbo build
i have alot of confussion and questions.
first off
I have been reading thread after thread after thread on here for a while.

My build:
84 notch back mustang
2004 5.3

i wanna do a stock bottom end set up.
so i am gonna get the arp rod bolts and high volume oil pump.
planning on using 5.7 or 6.0 heads.
eather a GMPP single plane carb manifold or the edlebrock vic jr msd combo manifold. (pros and cons of both)
running a blow through carb about 750-800
not sure on the cam specs quiet yet

Now here is where i get lost, and i know this is every questoin but what turbo to use i would like to be about 10-12 psi.
i was thinkin like a turbonetics hurricane 7268-t4or is there something else that will work better for around 1G

i also get lost with all of the specs the turbine wheel is F1-68, t4 is the flange i get that but the .81 A/R whats that stand forand also the 3" vband?

my goal would be about 650 700 Rwhp Or somewhere in the 10sec range. the car would be built to go that fast and weight next to nothing.

what intercooler should be used (the car might see some street time)
the plumbing is all gonna be alum.
which blowoff valve and wastegate have people ran with out problems

i really just wanna have a good set up that is gonna last for a little while and i would rather do it right the first time then do an ebay kit blow up a motor and then have to start over again.

any help would be great

i will post up pics in a few minutes of the current status of the car

just about any t4 turbo in the 70-78mm range will make you more than happy. Im running a turbonetics TC78 and got it for under a grand. its great because its a compact unit and frees up some space.

At this point i wont try and explain all the turbo terminology because ill end up typing paragraphs but do a search on google on turbo basics and youll get a good idea on everything.

A/R is area ratio and while you may not get what exactly it is, just know that it affects your spooling characteristics and power band. a small number like .81 will spool very quickly on a 5.3 but it may start to choke in high rpms causing your power to drop off. A larger one like 1.15 will spool slower(esp on a 5.3) but it will carry power much farther into the higher rpms. A very popular A/R for 5.3/5.7s is .96 and most people see full boost by about 3500rpm and the power seems to carry well all the way to 6-65k. Although deciding on a the right A/R really depends on whole setup. again, search through some typical build threads.

do a google search to explain a vband, its just a clamp. In the case youre talking about its probably to join the downpipe and exhaust side of the turbo.

i went with JGS for my wastegate and RPS for my BOV. Cant go wrong with Tial though. I used an ebay 4" thick core intercooler on my setup.

search and read, id highly recommend that before actually starting the build.

That 72mm Turbo sounds about perfect for your setup, along with the .81a/r. 3in vband is the outlet of the turbine side where your downpipe will connect, I'd try to step it up to 3.5 dp if possible. I'm running a blow thru carb as well and I must say it works excellent! You can home modify a Holley for blow thru, 750cfm is the norm. For your blow thru needs Google hanger18fabrication its a website that shows you step by step how to mod a Holley for blow thru. Then check theturboforums.com for all your blow thru tuning needs. I ran a home modded Holley for a while but then went with a purpose built blow thru by Quick Fuel Technologies. The carb I went with is the qft750ban. Do a search on that as well if you'd like. Good luck! I'm sure you'll be very pleased with the results! Oh and the intercooler, search eBay there's a 4 in core unit that supports up to 1000hp that alot of people have had success with and is very affordable.
