Default Turbo questions on Trans Am

Ok I sold the procharger and thought a H/C/I would hold me over for a few years......not. Boring. So, have a few newbie turbo questions.

1. With a TA can I retain the fogs and license plate cover
2. What is the easiest install kit available. I don't want to be deleting ABS etc. Also is an STS kit a waste of money?

The fogs may take some finessing depending on how you mount the fmic. The license plate doesn't have to be cut out, but you are impeding air to pass through it so your IAT's may be a bit higher and lose a little power. I don't like the STS. I really like my KYTP and it retains the AC, ABS, Power Steering. I didn't lose one thing going with the KYTP setup, but that doesn't mean you won't have to relocate the ABS and run an aftermarket condenser for the AC. An STS is easier overall, but the benefits of a Front Mount Turbo is greater than the headache to make everything fit.

KYTP is a great kit. And you can keep the fogs, you just gotta get creative. One guy here made mounts that mount to front bumper itself instead of the support. i plan on cutting the numbers out of my license plate and only cutting where the license plate can cover it so when im not at the track i still get some flow. im not running fogs though so i have some air from the sides hitting it too. but idk about the cover.. maybe cut the bird out? seen that done and it looks good going down the road

The easiest way to keep the license plate cover with an intercooler would probably be to do an A2W...that way, you're not dependent on getting airflow to the cooler in order to get the IAT drops you're looking for. With the front bumper support out, there is a ton of room up front. That bumper support from Burkhart is a nice piece that even has fog light mounts and you can see from some of their site pics just how much room is available.

I was still able to keep my fogs and just made a mesh screen to cover the license plate hole if you're just trying to avoid the gaping hole in the front of the TA bumper. But if your state requires a front plate, then A2W is your best bet.

There is also the Modular Turbo twin turbo kit that does not require relocating vital organs so to speak. A/C radiator stay put no hacking whatsoever. And they install it for you for the price listed.
Before you jump off into it ask the real questions like does it over heat? What else has to be bought. There are threads that say I have this kit and it cost $XXXX but it doesn't say anything about things like custom condenser and custom a/c lines to go with it custom brake lines rerouted because of the ABS relocate and then the turbo k-member that some of these kits need. There are alot of guys telling half truths about what they spent and how many countless hours were spent doing these relocates.
