Turbo SHO motors make killer power, I have turbocharged one before.

9psi with a 60-1 and a stock SHO motor made 420fwhp.

Also since the SHO motor is technically not a FORD motor I don't think any sacrilege has occured....

DUN DUN DUUUUUN !!!!

already started cutting it up, but i plan on making jigs so we can do jetta awd swaps w/o hacking 1/2 the floor out of cars. Modding the stock floor would be sooo much quicker and easier (and therfore more marketable to the vw crowd)

Lookin good guys. My old SHO made 304hp to the tires on 4psi, it's ridiculous how they respond to boost. I never dynoed it when I ran it at 11psi, but it sure was fun for a while until drivetrain problems forced me to get out of them.

Didn't use a fox body because there were 2 Camaro's and 0 Mustangs available. The grey camaro in the background and this car were both being stored @ Alex's 12 car storage unit he once had. Then the Z28 wound up for sale dirt dirt cheap before we ever did anything w/ the grey car.

Kinda hard to pass up a dirt cheap chassis that has a healthy aftermarket, even if it means mixing makes.

Shoot you? Naw.

Well, maybe, but only so I could steal that car

Seriously, man. That thing is cool as hell. Are you going to do anything for weight reduction?

I love this project. And I find all these people whinning about using a LT1 car funny. I forgot that camaros were rare. And the people suggesting using a mustang are just as funny. keep up the hard work, who cares if the motor is a differant brand. Bad *** is bad *** in my book.

The front suspension is at full extension as it sits, and yet the only things really mising from the front end are:

-recip assembly
-valve train
-intercooler
-fluids

Dont think we need to do much weight redux at this point, IIRC we pulled over 300lb out of the engine/ tranny combo inc missing engine bay stuff AND the firewall has a 4" notch for engine setback.

Me and Alex together on the front bumper barely manage to drop the front suspension and inch, so im gonna guess we need v6 springs at this point.

Technically the engine isn't Ford ****... It's a Yamaha that ford put into their car so it isn't quite as bad.

At least it isn't a 5.0 in there...

It's kinda interesting. Not saying I would ever do it but definitely thinking outside the box as others have stated.

Alex's latest post about our progress:

I also found this kick *** sculpture out side of a repair shop.

there IS a engine, trans, radiator, intercooler. This is how high the car sits with stock Z28 suspension!!! nobody can tell me I didn't massively remove weight from this thing.

This was put back together yesterday. I also had to remove debris from 2 valves on the other head because the valves failed to seal correctly. That machine shop sucks hairy donkey *****

I am considering sending my hot pipes including my downpipe out for ceramic coating to help keep engine bay temps down. Any suggestions on good places to take them to?
