Default Should I run my master power t70 with an lq4

Ok guys I've been reading alot of info and alot of people are saying that I'm going to spool the turbo quick. Its a master power t70 with a .96 A/R the engine is a 6.0 I'm running an +02 ls6 cam the hot parts are from Modular Turbo and 60# injectors and so on.... My camaro weights around 3700lbs give or take. Do you guys think I'll damage the engine at low rpm since I'll spool the turbo fast? My buddy has a turbonetics t76 with .96 A/R that he would sell me. Thanks guys

The 70 is kinda small... I'd go with the t76. Spool shouldn't be too much different.

If you can get the turbonetics t76 for a good deal and its in good shape, i would say go for it. Its a better turbo and more in line with what you would need to satisfy a 6.0

It will make boost early, but as long as your tune is on it should be fine. The thing with those turbos is the small exhaust wheel, it will cause backpressure issues at higher rpms. To be honest the perfect Turbo for those cubes would be the pt76gts. It has a larger turbine wheel and spool is virtually the same. You can pick them up used for under 1000$. I'd go with the 76 just because you'll be pushing the t70 pretty hard and you will want more, boost is addicting! The t70 is better suited to a 5.3 or 4.8, it will work on your 6.0 but not ideal. I think you'll be pushing it pretty hard and will probably make 600 HP Max.

Im going to upgrade my MPT70 soon, but love the quick spool. Im on e85 and 11:1 CR which has been no issue for me at 10psi stock LS2.

I used to run a MP 70 with .81 a/r. With a 4.8l I made 528/528 at 10psi, then later dyno'ed at 15psi and made 617/623tq. Quick spool and good power. You aiming for more then 600 wheel?

Max you trap over 100mph in the 1/8th don't ya?

I thought I remembered you doing that with the MPT70 the last time we went racing together.
