Its a 408 Iron Block motor with MTI heads (actually an MTI shortblock as well, but we had to go through it when we recieved it). Intake is a custom sheetmetal job. Turbo kit is completely custom.

We couldn't get more boost out of it and we think the problem may also be why its spooling so slow. With the limited area under the hood, we had to compromise on the inlet piping to the turbos, I think this is whats holding us back (we fully intended on maxing the dyno last night). Between the slow spoolup and the inability to raise the boost, we are pretty sure its not breathing as it should. We would have pulled the entire inlet system, but it requires unbolting one of the turbos.

We'll definately change things to fix it, but the car is going to the Texas Supra meet in a couple weeks, so we are inclined to just leave it as is for now.

I believe compression ratio is around 8.5:1, but I really couldn't tell you. I did the electronics 'nightmare' to get this thing running. As for tuning, it was stable at 10.5:1 AFR and the timing was a modest 24 degrees. There's plenty more in it, but this was our first night tuning it. At 6.5PSI the car put down around 750HP (I don't have the dyno plot handy). Big motors with big turbos, you just can't get any better than that.

I think Turbo Blue, but not 100% sure. Probably gonna switch to C16 though because we can get a better deal on it. Valve train is a custom solid roller with Jesel rockers.

This sounds amazing, is there anyway you could throw up some pics/vids? Sounds like you've got the hot setup for sure. Congrats

The car actually belongs to Stacey Barnett in Tucson Arizona. My buddy who owns Dark Dragon Motorsports built the motor/turbo kit/etc, pretty much did all of the mechanical work.

I got the AEM ECU up and running on the car so we could actually tune it precisely (a buddy that's much more familiar with the AEM actually did the tune).

Funny about busting Supra ***, this is the car that finished second two years ago at the meet (SW won the event in his C5).

I recall Stacey's name, a red coupe?

Are the turbos on top of the motor in front of the motor? I saw a Cerra single kit for the first time and their single is mounted between the radiator and the engine on the passenger side.

In front of the motor with the inlets facing each other... We spent almost two weeks trying to figure out where to position them.

Yes its a red coupe with Fikse wheels (I believe SW was the previous owner, but I could be wrong).
