Whats wrong with the intake? Valve springs are dual Lunatis.. Its a little laggy but way better than i thought it would be. The tires are mich 335/30/18 i had laying around the garage, Not exactly pizza cutters, but are harder than hell. I cant wait to get something that will hook!

It's a leaky pile of S#^t lol. That intake has problems sealing naturally aspirated, my buddy with a procharged gto ran that intake. He swapped to a LS6 intake and his car ran much better, not to mention that intake gets really hot. Drag radials will help but 18's are not known for traction.

I picked up 25rwhp from switching from that intake back to a LS6. My IAT's were high as well with it and it pulled timing because of it...switched back and all was well. I say ditch it and go with a LS6 or something else. DShmittie I bet your compression is a little higher...on 8.5:1 on a 347 with only 12psi that's pretty good. What weight oil were you running before and what are you running now? Like 98Z28COBRAKILLER said I'd be a little concerned with bearing damage...only takes seconds when shes hot. Nice numbers....I did 706 on 13.7psi with my 370 so for a pound less on smaller cubes with less compression that's pretty good man!

THanks dude! IM embarrassed to say that i used 5w30 carquest brand with lucas breakin additive. WAY to thin! I just put in some gtx 10w40. Yea im going to start looking for a ls6 intake, i had a feeling this intake would heat soak bad...

I also had that shitake at one time, sold it and bought a FAST.

Where does it make peak torque with that cam, I'm using the same on my 370/gt88.

^This. I prefer 20-50 Valv. VR-1 as well. Good numbers man, my FAST/NW 90/90 flow ok and got them at a decent price 4 years ago lol.

Did you happen to dyno your car before F.I.?

You still should not have had 0 oil pressure, even if you were running water through it.

Good numbers those dyno's read really low compared to others. Your oil pump Oring could be causing the oil psi problem. Could be sucking air and loosing prime at idle.

It's impossible that it went to zero and then came back with an oil change UNLESS, the problem was electrical and not mechanical. In other words, a sensor or gauge problem.

I run Delvac 15-40

I have that same intake. I notice the bottom has bolts spaced pretty far apart. The second I saw that I thought "That's gonna be a problem under boost". My plan is to either drill and tap more holes to seal it up more, or make an entire aluminum cap for the bottom side and just weld the whole thing on.

The heat soaking is a whole different situation though...

No never did.. I never even drove this car before! I bought it as a rolling chassis last last fall out of Cali.

They have been tuning ls car for years now. Shane tuned my car. They have a great crew.

Yes that very well could be whats going on. The sensor is new, however it is the stock sensor and gauge... i have an aftermarket sensor/gauge, but i cant get it to work, i think to gauge is bad.

Your numbers look really great for such a "pile of ****" intake. I have the same one & did have problems with the valley cover bolts hitting the bottom of the intake. I bought some with a shorter head. People who have problems getting these intakes to seal have obviously never worked on a carbed motor. Those kick *** o-ring type manifold gaskets havent been around forever. Also, composite intakes havent been around forever. Kenne Bell must not have a clue what advantages a plastic blower would have, eh? I have popped an ls1 intake & and ls2 intake. Never had a worry with my Victor Jr, and wont worry a bit with this one. Keep your intake man. Dont let these folks bad mouth your **** and change your mind about something that works.
