gear drive/crank snout question

I'm just a little fish playing in a turbo world, but I need to know what snout to use on my crank for a gear driven F-series procharger. It's a billet center counter weighted crank from Callies. Short snout or LS7?

I'd call procharger directly but no can do from my location.

I think most guys using any kind of supercharger go with a big block snout on the crank. I'm not an expert though. I'm sure someone wil chime in with more credible info then myself.

the big block snout is for guys that are using serp or cog belt drives.

You're still going to turn that gear drive with the front of that crank. I guess depending on how much boost you're looking for makes a difference too. I would rather be safe than sorry. You know once you have it up and running you're going to want to turn it up. My personal thinking is spend a little more first so you're not spending alot more to fix something that broke.

the big block snout is for side load. There is no side load when you are turning a gear drive... Pulling it up and to the side when you tighten a belt is what shears cranks...

Does someone have a contact at procharger I can email or can email me. I remember a rep that used to post on here regularly way back when but I can't remember his screen name for the life of me. (I don't have my procharger serial number in front of me or I'd email them on their website.)

I have used the standard crank on F series blowers multiple times with good results. I have built one F3 with standard crank that worked well and is racing now.
