Default Vac line question and more

I have an sts system on my lt1 powered z28 and right now I have the wastegate hooked up to the turbo air fitting in the back. I have read that most source the vac at the manifold. Why is this better? Should I do this?

My next question is I have a sts duel electronic boost controller. I can not find the instructions to install this and don't want to over boost my car. Can anyone guide me to how to install this? Thanks Tom

I think I know but I'm not absolutely sure... By referencing it at the manifold you bypass the intercooler, which creates a slight drop in boost levels. By referencing it at the manifold, it will open and shut based on the boost level that the motor is actually seeing, not what it would see without an intercooler.
