Nice car. Is that an impala? The turbo looks right at home. Should make some nice power. Perfect sleeper.

Turbo oil drain fitting welded to sump and turbo feed is coming from where the oil pressure switch is originally fitted.

I like it. I dont think you have to worry about making power. I am sure it will. What is the engine from?

The engine is just standard out of a 2000 holden (like your gto). It is the 3.9 bore with 241 heads. The only mods are the camaro sump and valve springs.

I started to do some panel work, Deleting all the trims on the body line on the side of the car. Other than that the plan is just a nice paint job in the same original colour.

Finally got the thing started, just to make sure everything is ok.

Oil pressure is low and there is a knocking noise down low in the engine.

I figure this thing requires a decent diff setup. So i got a junk 9 inch for a good price, sourced new bearings, aluminium pinion support and detroit tru trac LSD (31spl). I will also fit billet axles and disc brakes to the rear aswell. Whilst it is out i will replace all the bushes and box in the lower trailing arms.
I am leaving the old 2.75:1 gears in it for now

trailing arms boxed in

diff shortened, axles made and diff brackets welded on

This is the start of the project when it turns into a 383 LS1. Because of knocking noise and low oil pressure i stripped it down and decided to build it up. I think someone at one stage has fitted a too big of a cam to it as every single intake valve had hit the pistons and all the intake guides were sloppy.

The piston markings
