Default 73 ventura, paper head gasket 5.3, th350, microsquirt, gt45, 10.70@130 16psi

this is my friends car that was collecting dust, it had a 2 bolt junkyard 350 in it, unknown motor specs accept it made 250whp on motor and we installed a bar and plate and hit it with a 73 jet, making 450rwhp.

decided it would be cool to put a LS turbo in it for super cheap.

so we built a ms1 box, wired up the car for injection, installed stock 40lb injectors we had laying around, bought a 044 fuel pump for the back. used swap mounts, bolted it to the th350, and built a turbo kit for it in his driveway, at night, in the rain, in less than 2 weeks, in our spare time.

it made 400rwhp on 8psi of boost, we just installed an intercooler and injectors, as it was previously non intercooled.

this is a totally stock 4.8 out of a 2006 chevy van.

its blowing open the valvesprings right now at 17lbs of boost but its making 500rwhp on just 12deg of timing. 11.0 AFR in boost. very very conservative for right now.

nope the th350 loves it, and we drilled the 80e flexplate and only used 1/4 inch bolts in the converter. lol.

the 10bolt is holding up great, the car actually went 1.61 60ft on nitrous! breaking up and laying over in 3rd gear for unknown reasons it went 11.9 @ 112

How's the spool with the S475 on the 4.8? I'm debating one for my DD Silverado with a 4.8, just concerned about spool time. From the dyno it doesn't look like you're spooled until peak hp, but it could just be the converter.

Which turbine wheel do you have also?

Cool build man.

Cool build man.
its the 1.05 divided t4

it makes sick power over 3000rpm, lots of part throttle tq like a diesel some people might think its laggy, i call it perfect. IAT's are stationary at 500whp with the intercooler, and i dont mind a little lag.

Very cool build! I miss my 1974 Ventura, my 1st car in high school. Wish I still had it and could drop an LS6 and a turbo in it!

The GT500 in the background makes that picture even more awesome. Total shitbox next to a $60,000+ car.
