LS3 Oil Return
LS3 Oil Return The instructions for the TT kit has the oil return going to the filler cap ala STS. Other companies have it either going to the nipple on the passenger valve cover near the filler neck or you tap the rear of the passenger valve cover.
I don't like any of those options. On the truck a lot of people tap the oil pan for there return.
Is it possible to do the same with a LS3 on a 2010 Camaro?

I just want to make sure that it can be tapped above the oil level. And, I did not want to remove the oil pan to find out if someone has already been there and done that.

I called Andy at ADM and he said same thing. He suggested I go to Vortech's web site and look at there install instructions as they have it that way. Sure enough they do so I will be following there instructions.

On the instructions from Vortech it shows drilling toward the front near the top. I did not want to drop the front cradle or pull the engine to remove the oil pan so I drilled and tapped it vertically instead of horizontally.
With a top mount supercharger or turbo you can't do that because it gravity feeds but since I am using an oil return pump will I be ok?
I will be using the Exa-Pump instead of the supplied one.

I drilled it on the top shelf so to speak. Up front by the pulley but not on the side near the mounting bolts. I drilled straight up because there was no way to get the drill horizontally and it would be too much work to pull the pan.
